Back in May, our company decided to look for a company to help us with out SEO presence. At that time, we came across Patrick at Bellingham SEO Services. Not really knowing what to expect – and knowing for every one SEO company out there that is worth what they say, there are ten whose intentions are less than admirable, I started to talk to Patrick at Bellingham SEO Services. Before taking a dime from me, he spent well over five hours on the phone – and showed me what his proposal was and how it could work for our company. He demonstrated an example of his work to show me that he knew what he was talking about. His demonstration, which worked, saw a (near) immediate first page Google placement for one of our business segments – even before taking a dime from us. What he demonstrated wasn’t black hat – wasn’t unethical – but was more of a strategy on how to ensure Google and other search engines know our company is relevant. To this date – two months later, we are still seeing results from his “demonstration”. So we hired him. Fast forward two months later. We had an issue with our blog. The hosting provider of our blog (which is blue domain) made internal changes which caused our blog to break. Repeated tickets into the hosting provider didn’t fix the issue. Our blog was down intermittently and we were seeing a business fall off from people hitting that site. Our bounce rate went up. It was decided that the best course of action was to migrate our blog to another more reliable server. Since our blog contained over 15gb of data – and over 8 years of work, it was a very complex and arduous task and outside the realm of my expertise. We could have moved our blog by ourselves – but in doing so, we stood the chance of losing data – and more critically – the SEO relevance we had built up over the past 8 years. I asked Patrick and his business partner, Dave (who is an IT guy in London, UK) to help us and inquired as to what they could do to help. Patrick and Dave dropped everything – and migrated our blog to the new server – they did it very quickly – they did it right – and they did it within the scope of our original assignment. If that isn’t totally cool, I don’t know what is. To do something for somebody – that is extra and totally not expected – because you know it will help their business. That’s priceless – and finding a company like that in today’s competitive climate is a rare gem. Patrick has always been available to us – returns our phone calls almost immediately (i swear he lives by the phone and computer). He spends more than enough time with us to make sure we know exactly what he is doing. Right now he is building a brand new website and from what I’ve seen so far, I am super impressed. He didn’t pitch us with a “get on the first page of Google in 30 days…” type pitch. His strategy was a more holistic approach – and builds a strong foundation for our web presence. If you are looking for SEO help – or need a new website for your business, I would strongly encourage you to reach out to him.
